Classical logic is closed: a proposition is true or false and stays that way. That closure lets it describe an ideal world, but not one where memory fades, intent shifts, and outcomes rarely arrive intact. Laegna Logecs is open — truth carries two bits, values move through time, and a system may honestly hold a contradiction while it decides.

Openness is what makes Logecs compatible with mind. Every logical rule survives inside Logecs when the openness collapses; but Logecs can also carry emotion, deviation and improvisation as first-class objects, because those are exactly the phenomena classical closure hides.

Cognition, in Logecs, is intent, senses and knowledge inside a living system. Collective cognition is the symbolic, archetypal or instinctive layer — how things feel and what matters, before any propositional content. Neither reduces to matter:

• Outside reality is external in the X direction — connections to all other things.
• Inside reality is external in the opposite direction — atoms, quanta, electrons; what we consist of but not what we are.
• Mind is a symbolic machine with senses, intents and efforts — not a quantum-processing device.
• AI reasons inside its model; its self-contemplation is not a table of its internals.

Every emotion is a deviation from an outcome — and every deviation is a Logecs value. That is why Logecs can carry alchemy: the process of resolving deviation. Souled feelings, goals, intentions and efforts can be modelled as simplified systems and shown tautologically consistent with themselves, without pretending they have collapsed into Truth.
